youth camp....

Youth Camp
the annual summer youth camp is one major event that we guys look forward to. it is a gathering of youth from different Christian Faith Churhes and other visiting churches. we spend the most important five-days in our lives every year for a fun-filled camp where we praise and worship the Lord and have fun thoughout the camp duration. we have here a group photo of this year's summer camp held in tanay rizal. with more than a hundred attendees, we sure had an all out enjoyment....
the success of a camp cannot be measured by the number of attendees, nor the loudness of cheers and cries during praise&woship sessions. it's success is not measured on the list of contact numbers that you gathered from your new found friends...but the success of a summer youth camp is measured by an individual's knowledge of God that he takes home when he leaves the camp premises...and how he let's this new found knowledge reflect through his life.

the summer camp needs the utmost planning and conceptualization. but above all the number of thinking heads and working bodies, divine guidance is the key to having a fun-Christ-filled-camp. without it, everything wouldn't make sense.

it takes about a year of planning and meeting for each year's camp. and i bet you couldn't imagine the tension and pressure that we, officers have before, during and after each camp. we think about the programs, line up of activities, games for fun and enjoyment, meals, the venue, guest speakers and lecturers, the fund, prizes, topics, the camp theme. and to top it all off, we think about how we are before our God, for He is the sole reason why we commit ourselves in this kind of long term activity. committing oneself to a youth camp is something that requires us of our time, our personal growth, our minds, our hearts, our dedication. it can be likened to committing oneself to a loved one, that you try to give the best that you can, you think of the best that you can give, with the assurance that the Lord our God, He who loved us first, will be there with us all throughout.

here are some of the photos that we have before the recent camp....
